moGOLF, the world’s most prestigious mobile sporting tournament*, makes a welcome return. The third moGOLF Challenge will be held on April 4^th at the Pine Ridge Golf Club, in Frimley, Surrey, in the UK.

We’ve listened to the hardened mogolfers that battled the January elements in 2011, and have opted for a slightly warmer period – fingers crossed!

It’s a return to the course where Qualcomm stormed to victory in 2011 with a team total on 115 points. On their march to the mobile’s top sporting prize, Qualcomm beat the likes of OpenMarket, On Device Research, Lightspeed Research, Mobile Marketing Magazine, Digital Parent Company, WIN, Progression, to name a few, as well as 2010 winners, mobile^SQUARED.

Players of all ability can enter, whether a scratch golfer or someone that has never played golf before. Teams or individuals can enter, if you’re the latter, you will be placed into a team with other golfers to make up a 4-ball.

On the day, players will be greeted with breakfast, coffee, and access to the driving range to loosen those shoulders, calm the (inevitable) nerves, and focus on the job in hand. Following the round, including longest drive, closest to the pin, and new to 2012, “out of the bunker”, players will receive a welcome drink before being seated for a hearty meal, and the prize draw.

Scorecard

It’s the ideal course for players of all levels; a par 72 course with four par 3s, four par 5s, and par 4s making up the remainder. It’s almost, yes almost, impossible to lose a ball, though it’s fair to say a lot of teams tried their hardest during moGOLF 2 last year.

By car from London

• Leave the M3 at Junction 3
• Take the 1st exit onto A332 towards Guildford
• At roundabout take 3rd exit onto B311 Red Road signposted Frimley / Camberley
• After approx 2 miles take 1st exit at roundabout onto B315 Maultway signposted
  Deepcut / Frimley Green
• After approx 1 mile turn right onto old bisley road
• The Golf Centre is located 500 yards on the left handside

By car from the South

• From the M3 exit at Junction 4a (Farnborough)
• Take second exit at roundabout onto the A331 (signposted Guildford)
• At roundabout take 1st exit onto A331
• Take 1st exit left off the dual carriageway signposted Frimley
• Merge onto the A325 and at the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto A325
• At roundabout take 3rd exit onto B311 Chobham Road
• At mini roundabout continue forward onto Old Bisley Road
• At next mini roundabout bear right onto Old Bisley Road
• After 1/2 mile arrive at the Golf Centre on the right handside
